i think there both as important as each other, i doubt at the beginning of the season any of the elite clubs prioritise one over the other which is probably why so many who win it also win their respective league, and as far as the league showing the true strength of a team i disagree, the bayern munichs, dortmunds, athelico's, reals and barcelonas etc are a hell of a lot stronger than some epl teams.
