Isco (merged)

People have to remember the amount of cup games we have coming aswell. Even possible replays in the cup. With Nasri being injured we are still a little short in the 3 behind the striker. As someone has pointed out our ageing squad is starting to get a youthful look to it. Would also love to see isco and silva together. I was absolutely gutted we missed out on isco the first time.

Unbelievable if true, how come none of the papers are picking up on this especially as it's at advanced stage, the Jan transfer window let the madness begin...
John cross from the mirror has picked up on it yesterday. Says isco will tell Madrid he wants to leave on Tuesday so maybe we will see some developments after that.

Cheers for that, but if Madrid tell him he's going nowhere then that's that, although if mcrjon says its at an advanced staged then Isco must be confident of getting the nod to leave then...

Going to try and keep calm until it's done this time.

But you can't help but get giddy at the thought of Isco, De Bruyne, Sterling, Silva and Aguero playing together.

I'm a big Yaya fan but this season he just hasn't been able to keep pace. He is gotten too old very suddenly. He was our unique drive, our "mojo". We need to address this issue IMO ASAP. Time for him to go before he deteriorates more IMO. Should go on loan somewhere in another league first and then to NY, and the back in some capacity.

Isco IMO is a very worthy replacement. And its badly needed ATM.

(IMO we already have Fernandinho's replacement in Delph and a host of promising kids, eg Evans, Byrne, etc)

Isco will never ever be able to reproduce what Yaya has been able to do for us. Yaya takes a lot of shit on here because people expect him to do absolutely everything (dictate play, lung bursting runs, make the assists, score, take free kicks, track runners, last ditch tackles and so on) but hes been left high and dry through our managers tactics,

Isco looks a decent player but he still has everything to prove, If he was to be Nasri's replacement then fair enough but imo he is nowhere near as talented as Yaya and not a chance he could replace him.

Yes you are correct we need to be looking at replacing Yaya, but imo there is not a chance Isco would be able to do it like for like. If he comes then imo it is either KDB, Silva and Isco for 2 places. We need the pace of either Raheem or Navas otherwise we would be one dimensional and a little pederstrian. Yes it would be a fantastic dimension but it imo would not be enough.

I didn't think we'd do any business in January, but it's all sounding pretty positive. Isco is apparently pushing for the move and City have spoken with his agent and father. John Cross is well sourced on this, so worth paying attention to. Obviously mcrjon is extremely well connected too, which bodes well!
