Isco

We really do need Isco for versatility. Although he's not a winger he is brilliant at playing the inverted winger as a playmaker on the LW. In a 4-3-3 formation, with Aguero centre, Navas the other side, Ferny, Yaya, Silva we would be awesome.

Honestly, another major reason I want him is to ship Nasri out, Im sick of having to watch his half-arsed efforts slowing our play down.

Get real ( pardon the pun ) - we desperately need a goal scoring playmaker.
How many goals do Silva Yaya Nasri Barry Milner etc. score in a season. The answer is too few.

14 goals in 70 for Malaga ain't exactly freescoring is it.

Love if he comes, we'll be grand if he doesn't.

Makes you wonder if us holding out for Malaga to pay for Pellegrini's compensation is coming back to haunt us.

My thoughts exactly. Malaga want more off us at a guess hence why we not happy.

Can hardly blame them- we take there manager and now we want there star player

We didn't want to pay Pellegrini's €4m compensation, so we held out a month activating a clause which forced Malaga to pay it.

The wierd thing is Malaga owed Pellegrini wages but it looks like their owner did not see it like that.

Either way it's not good for us trying to create a relationship with Malaga with us hoping to sign their star player within weeks of getting their manager, maybe Malaga want their €4m back on top of the fee???

God I remember that one, remember it dragging on for ages and my mates brother picking us up from the airport telling us he'd signed for Rangers. (Arthur Numan, not my mates brother).

Didn't we end up with Ricky Holden instead?

I think it was the same year. Rick H played in the same team over here as Richards30.
I thought the Dutch players union threw their toys out of the pram wanting him to stay in Holland. So he signed for Eindhoven; he signed for Rangers much later. Reid was in charge when we tried to sign him.

Yes you are right, getting my timeframes muddled up. It was 1992 from memory.

He has the tools but Silva injury free and in his pomp is up there pushing Xavi and Iniesta, he is simply sublime. Isco will do well to 'better' him.

Ha ha laughable Silva was fuckin garbage last year

Get out.

Silva has been sublime during the ConFed Cup, when he gets on, hope he continues next season!

But he IS better than Nasri. Hence Madrid wanting to pay £30m for him.

How is he?

Because of a single half decent season? Because he did well at the under 21 tournament? Romeu at Chelsea was great at youth level, look at how he's developed at Chelsea since coming here.

Nasri is miles more proven at the moment.

His performances in the champions league show how good isco is in my opinion . You can count the number of performances Nasri has had like that on one hand unfortunately

Here's an idea, and it's pretty crazy, but maybe City havent met the release clause as they don't think it's worth spending that much money on an area of the team that doesn't need strengthening, and might prefer to spend it elsewhere now that the team adheres to FFP rules

Crazy, I know.

Not crazy at all, or perhaps they don't think he is worth that much, it's hard getting some people to understand, if they want a player they will pay the price, but they will not overpay, far to many people playing fantasy football
Even City have a budget, and it's pretty obvious that the main priority must be a forward.

Every time we buy a player, the cry is you paid over the odds. Maybe City are negotiating to keep the fee down. A transfer negotiation, who'd have thought it

@RafaelH117 Its bizarre, that's why I think there is more to come. I want this guy at City more than anyone.

Rafael Hernández Rafael Hernández ‏@RafaelH117 5m

@coolandthegangs Yes, what I can guarantee is that Isco hasn't sign with RMA yet, only agreed terms and signing without a counter bid.

Rafael Hernández ‏@RafaelH117 31m

@adlan_suzanne Nope, I said he was set to join after the U21s, MCFC lowered the bid, Real Madrid took their chances, that's what I said.

@adlan_suzanne Still, MCFC can still sign Isco, but club unwilling to pay the release clause. Málaga Owner favors selling the player to other spanish club.

-------------

If this is true then it makes you wonder what the f**k City are playing at.

Makes you wonder why the fuck we happily splashed a reported 40m € on Fernandinho but refuse to cough up the money for Isco

I think City have the hump about paying an extra load of cash when Isco re-signed a deal with new clause that was only offered to lift the fee of the player for re-sale. Cavani and Isco both had new contracts when our interest was known. I think it's not co-incidental we ask for lower fees than release clauses.

-- Mon Jun 24, 2013 10:09 pm --

3 players targeted, we over pay for 1 and it puts the move of one of the other 2 at risk.
