There are exceptions to every rule and he was it. We tightened the purse strings too early and judging by how this window is shaping up the higher ups know it and are moving to rectify that mistake. Problem is players like Hazard don't come along every summer.

Hazard may turn out to be top quality but have you watched him against us this season ?
Probably not 'cos he was in one of our mids pockets in every game
So far he's been a flat track bully IMO . Undoubtedly talented but has a lot to prove for me.

Good player but Hazard is a level or two above, seriously Hazard is going to be one of the best around in 3 years time.
Not just his pace, but his low centre of gravity and considering he gets kicked up hill and down dale, he normally tries to stay on his feet.

He is extremely talented and could be a very good player in the future.
I understand why people are saying he is "overhyped". I have watched him and I too have been disappointed some games and wondered what all the hype is about but then in other games he has been fantastic.
Now is that because of the difference in quality he is sometimes up against, inexperience and age or is he just an inconsistent player that will always just have the hype around him but never really make the grade that is expected.

The problem for Chelsea is Oscar, Mata and Hazard all operate best off the striker and Benitez has noticed it. Hazard was really good playing off Torres in the two Basel games and one of them is going to start demanding they start in the middle.
