ive watched only a littel bit of this guy so maybe Im way off here but he doesnt seem to be an upgrade on anyone we have now at all....im not saying he isnt a good player but is he better than any of the other attacking players (with the exception of scott sinclair!!) that we have already.....Im not sure he is what we need

If we are going to buy attacking players we need those players to offer something different to what we have now and Im not sure he does.......

I think he's stronger and faster than Silva and braver and more direct than Nasri, and he looks a more exciting player than both - a 'bum off seat' type.
Besides,we only have the aforementioned players capable of orchestrating a game, another, especially one who is only getting better, will certainly add to our options.

Double draw: City believe Isco and Cavani will join Pellegrini in Manchester

The diminutive Spaniard and the hulking Uruguayan forward are set to move to the Etihad for a combined fee of nearly £80million

Manchester City are confident Edinson Cavani and Isco will follow Manuel Pellegrini to Eastlands.

Pellegrini is set to be confirmed as City’s new manager to replace Roberto Mancini and he will not be the only arrival from Malaga.

Abu Dhabi sources have excitedly claimed that Spanish attacking midfielder Isco will join his boss Pellegrini at City and that a deal for Cavani is close to completion.

The total cost of the double deal could total a staggering £79million.

Isco’s Malaga release fee is £27m, while Napoli have always insisted they will not accept less than the £52m buy-out clause in striker Cavani’s contract.

Mancini has moaned that City took far too long to complete their business last summer and it seems director of football Txiki Begiristain is determined to steal a march on the club’s rivals this year.

Unfortunately for Mancini, it is Pellegrini and not him who will benefit from Begiristain’s quick work.

An Abu Dhabi source said: “All the talk here is not just about Pellegrini, but also that City think they’ve got Isco and Cavani.

“They seem very confident and very excited about it. Things are obviously happening very quickly behind the scenes.”

Isco is one of the most highly rated young players in Europe and has also attracted interest from Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Paris Saint-Germain have also been chasing Uruguay international Cavani, who has scored an incredible 103 goals in 137 matches for Napoli.

City striker Edin Dzeko has been linked with a move to Napoli as part of a deal to sign Cavani, but it is understood he has expressed a desire to join Borussia Dortmund.

Once his severance with City is finalised, Mancini will be offered a quick route back into management by mega-rich Monaco.

He is more of an Iniesta-type of player in my opinion. Which is not a bad thing, quite the opposite in fact.
