Isco

We've been very lucky with Silva. Despite having a surgically repaired ankle that causes him occasional time on the sideline, he's avoided major injury. We'd be hard pressed to break down stubborn defending if he had an injury like Negredo's.

Nasri is technically a playmaker but he's too inconsistent. I don't think he's on the level of Silva at all. Only Yaya is.
Id have said Nasri was one of our most consistent players last season by a long shot.

How many away goals did he score last season? Zero. All 11 of his goals were at home.

To me, he's a streaky player. He's had long periods of his City career in poor form. He's a great complement to Silva but I wouldn't count on him.

He's a playmaker who was in the top 10 for chances created and was arguably stronger away than at home in this category in comparison to others. And for parts of last season when Silva was out injured, it was Nasri who had to step up and be counted upon.

Although he was average for the first two seasons, his last season was anything but.

I've seen quite a lot of people say that Nasri blows very hot and cold, but is he really that different to other players? Silva is not always on his top form, and Nasri is a good goal threat

For his position, i don't think its abnormal for players to go through periods where they're not quite on form. Silva's first half of the season was far from what he probably would've expected but his latter half performances were incredible whereas with Nasri, it was the other way round.

Also, when Nasri is out of form, his languid style often gives the impression that his performance is worse than it really is along with the fact that no matter what he does, he'll always be compared to Silva, whose best is on a different level.

I'm sick of hearing about Isco, he wont be coming to City, simple as that, we have enough fire power so lets unleash them like we did last season and try and score more, if we have better luck with Injuries, we will for sure, without Isco.. !

+1.
Another major issue which gets bypassed in threads like this is that given the expectation we are to sign Mangala, then we will have 19 registered overseas players on the books which means that to add Isco to the squad, three existing players will have to move on to include him in the Premier League, and an extra body will have to be omitted from the CL too. So given the problem of moving on unwanted homegrown players if only to get the wage bill down, then which of our elite group of overseas players should we be prepared to ditch, whilst keeping a balanced squad and also to keep this part of the wage bill down so as to accommodate a high earner like Isco?

It isn't easy and it just won't happen.

Seriously. 100+ goals proved that last season.

Isco could be the difference in the Champions League.

We had big injuries around the time we played Barcelona and could have done with a player like Isco.

We have Jovetic fit and raring to go.

I'm a massive Jovetic fan but Isco is more in the Silva mould, not at his level just yet but may well be in the future. While none of us want to say it, Dave will need replacing, Isco could be just the boy. What better education than time with Dave. Sadly, I can't see it happening but I'd love to be wrong.....

The guy on sky said that reports Liverpool were in for Isco are wide of the mark.

Would love us to land this guy on loan , class act
