Isco

I've a feeling we're going to end up missing out here. I'm sure the club will be aware that wanting the best Spanish players, and actually signing them in the face of competition from Madrid/Barca are two different things.

I think there's a story doing the rounds that Isco's dad and Malaga's technical director were pictured driving into the Bernabau yesterday. If that's true, then I think we've lost the player.

Oh well ... plenty more fish in the sea but it's going to be a long hot summer ...

I believe the picture is real (not sure where they were) but still only indicates a meeting has taken place.

I believe our people met with them a while back.

Even if we didn't sign him, and I think these Madrid reports are a bit off tbh, there are alternatives at a similar level out there. Not Thiago though. I'm sure that if we signed him, he'd play deeper.

Maher is easily Holland's best youngster while Lamela would be my choice ahead of any of the young attacking players we've been linked with.

I still think we'll sign Isco though.

Whose gonna get the bottom half then???

AS - City agree personal terms with Malaga's Isco and are now negotiating a fee with the Spanish side

I hate transfer windows.

The Hazard one last year was horrendous.

Watching interviews after he played as he was 'supposedly' revealing where he was going to play.

Urgh.

yep totally agree, it will not be a massive loss as good as Isco is, we have reportedly got a minimum 3 targets identified for each position that we are looking to strengthen in this summer

However I also believe that Isco will arrive along with Pellegrini

I'll be a sad panda if Isco goes to Real instead. Going to wait until anything is confirmed first though.

Got to be honest mate as good a player as Isco is if it means throwing more money at Cavani then so be it,that guy is dynamite.

That and Fernandinho for me, with Pellagrini playing a different formation i dont really see how we could accomodate Isco without sacrificing either Silva or Nasri.

It's a cliche but you always want good players in your squad so although I agree that Isco is v similar to Nasri and Silva, I wouldn't not want him because of that. If anything Nasri in particular has needed competition this season for his position. I agree though that with Pellegrini coming in, and the potential of Fernandinho and Cavani joining us, the potential is mouth watering.

Haha same! But in my opinion it's just Malaga trying to force us to act quicker and pay more.
