Isco

Maybe part of the 'Partnership' with Real. Isco to them & Cavani to us?

Or it could just be complete shite from the Spanish Press.

I think the guy who wrote that Marca article used to work for these guys :

I still think Nasri is quality and will flourish. With a 4-3-3 formation, a d if we get our supposed targets (unlikely), we'll have these play to fill the 6 forward positions.

Midfield 3: Yaya, Garcia, Rodwell, Barry, Milner, Fernandinho.

Front 3: Tevez, Aguero, Cavani, Isco, Nasri, Silva, Navas. (Assume Dzeko is sold).

Silva, Nasri, Yaya and Milner could play in either line.

It's a class group of players but there seems to be a few too many to keep everyone happy and give youth a chance.

Master Troll:Manchester City out of Isco race

Manchester City will not be bidding for Isco after all. Although the Málaga playmaker is one of the names on the wishlist Manuel Pellegrini has handed the Citizens hierarchy,
the club's Spanish executive double act, Ferrán Soriano and Txiki Begiristain, believe there is no need to strengthen the team in this area.

Last season City utilised the likes of David Silva, Samir Nasri, James Milner, Sergio Agüero and Yaya Touré - all proven performers on the international stage - in the position behind the frontman.

With City pulling out of the chase, Real Madrid seems to be in pole position to snap up last year's Golden Boy winner.

That confirms we are signing Isco.
Lol!

The article says Begiristain doesn't think we need to strengthen in this area when it is our weakest area of the squad.

Means it's nailed on!

-- Sat Jun 01, 2013 12:48 pm --

Indeed!

München have Ribéry Kroos Müller Robben Shaqiri and others... Barça Madrid Dortmund United Chelsea Arsenal all have that many players in that area of the pitch. We currently have Nasri and Silva, with Sinclair and then at a push you can include Suarez. We need to strengthen in this area morso than any other.

Marca is worse than The Sun. Have a look at the disgraceful smear campaign they undertook against Pellegrini at Real, trying to get him sacked from day one:
