And will never happen

I'm one of the 'yaya' bunch - he'll be the best midfielder bar none in the prem next year, Fernandinho will be a surprise to many but will allow yaya to become a bigger threat than he's ever been with barry et al next to him!

we'll set up

...................yaya................fernandinho.................

..............................isco.........................................

........navas....................................silva...................

............................aguero/cavani............................

If we have both Aguero and Cavani in our squad no chance they will be alternating, they will both start 90% of the games they are fit for
Yeah so sorry, Jesus.

It won't be that simple, MP's preferred system is 4-2-2-2, already stated i think if Cavani signs it won't be in the conventional role merely because of his work rate compared to Kun, can see Aguero slightly in front of Cavani (not directly behind), Navas will alternate more granted, however he'll get plenty of game time

4-2-2-2 will be something like

.........fern.....yaya.............
.........isco.....silva.............
.........cavani.....................
....................aguero........ massive emphasis on fullbacks bombing on!!!

Just watche3d the highlights from last night again. That goal was very well taken. I wonder whether we may just play him as an alternative striker. An avenue worth exploring for sure.

-- Thu Jun 13, 2013 3:58 pm --

Which is why I'd go balls deep for Baines. He is a double of Jordi Alba but is also a set piece guru.

Been told by an 'ITK' that the Isco deal is 50/50. Malaga are reluctant to let us take two important figures from their club (Pellegrini, now Isco) and our interest isn't strong enough to fight for it. Also the Cavani deal is off (was never really on) due to valuation while the interest in El Shaarawy is genuine a deal is a long way off and again, the valuation will probably kill it happening this summer anyway.

Baines is a great overlapping fullback, but most of his crosses are the whipped in variety to Jelavic / Fellaini. We need a player to hit the byline and pull it back like Richards, or Cole used to do in his younger days at Chelsea.

Clichy/Richards/Zab are good enough. Perhaps we need left back cover

is there any other strikers we might look at with Cavani not coming and SES unlikely.

been fairly sanguine about our targets for some reason, the 2 already on board addressed our main weakesses, but i just heard a guy (paddy someone) who is a spain based journo , describe Isco as an "absolute genius" never heard him call anyone that before, so now i've joined the rest of the nervous nigels clicking on the thread every five minutes. Bastard
Was it agnew bb

Hold on Pellegrini left of his own accord we didnt take him as you put it and your saying our new manager doesnt want his favourite player who has just had a stunning U21 championships for a decent price and that malaga would rather he went to Madrid where he would play them twice a year rather than 2 another country im sorry but im not buying it.

And how can a deal that was never really on be off, we knew the valuation going in and his own mother has stated today that we are in talks with him. Im sure ur ITK gave you the info in good faith but alot of it doesnt add up really

So, if we get information from an ITK and pass it along, are we then also an ITK? Or are we immune from ITK scrutiny? Are videos required?

Pellegrini isn't in charge of the signings, Txiki is and therefore what he wants is not the be all and end all. And by it being off I just meant we were never in a strong position to sign Cavani and almost certainly won't be getting him unless Chelsea talks prove fruitless and Napoli lower their valuation.

Not claiming what I've been told is 100 % true either and we are still 50/50 to get Isco so could still happen.
