Perez also claimed he was confident of sealing a deal for Malaga midfielder Isco.

The 21-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Bernabeu this summer with some reports in Spain suggesting a deal has already been agreed.

Also, on a positive if we have missed out on him.

When we missed out on Sanchez in a similar fashion we ended up with Aguero!.

when we missed out on Hazard we ended up with......... Sinclair

Proves sometimes when you miss out its best just to miss out. There are few if any alternatives to Isco - given we were attracted to his incredible potential etc. Doubt we will move on to any replacement target - it was more of an opportunity - but now it seems to be gone.
