Isco

Re: Isco (Part 7 (Saturday saga part 2))

Yeah sure we're going to pay £35m for a serial biter who's banned for the first 6 games of the season including the Etihad derby.

Re: Isco (Part 7 (Saturday saga part 2))

It does make me laugh about people saying Real Madrid are the biggest club in the world, they may be in terms of pulling power one can't deny that, but them along with quite a few others are being eclipsed by the new kids in town mainly Middle Eastern and Russian money add in the rise of German football, the the landscape of European football has changed, and it's not in favour of the big Spanish clubs

Don't forget Real are based in a country that has gone down the pan in the last few years (just a step above the Greeks) and there are no signs that they are going to get out of the mess anytime soon.

They may get their man, but I think they will pay a very heavy price for it, you don't go upsetting the men who now hold all the cards

I am sure Suarez is the alternative for Cavani not Isco

If we get bummed by RM re Isco then you can be sure we will go hell for leather to sign their next top target. Barca boys in charge remember?

Re: Isco (Part 7 (Saturday saga part 2))

Marca still reporting Isco as 'Real Madrids latest signing' in new articles.

They seem overly-confident. Let's hope they make another massive blunder on this like they have in the past.

Like the professionals say 'a transfer can be off as quickly as it's on' etc etc

They wanted Falcao and will get him next summer. They are heavily linked with 2 of the best 3 players our league had last season and will get at least one of them. They have second best player on the planet playing for them. Madrid are hardly swimming against the tide.

Real may have a Greek like bank balance but their stature, history and global status as a massive club means they can sign big players and sell a ridiculous amount of shirts to compensate their outlay.

Imo they have the best squad on the planet too once their summer business is done. They could easily end up with Isco and Suarez on their books.

Also you fail to comprehend the future. La Liga is changing the tv times and they will go looking for tv exposure in middle east etc, this will only benefit Real Madrid and Barca further.

Real imo are the biggest on the planet. Bayern push close and could take over in the next decade but their league isn't as glamourous as EPL or La Liga.

Re: Isco (Part 7 (Saturday saga part 2))

I think a lot of this is just wild speculation from the papers, the player is in Ibiza so it's impossible that he is going to go anywhere until he's in a position to actively discuss his future. Obviously he'd like to play for Real Madrid but i think this is all going to be tactics from them so they can get others, they haven't even got a manager and i don't think they'll be desperate to head into a bidding war for a 21 year old midfielder who hasn't really proven too much yet.

They also cannot afford to be paying out all this money on Isco/Cavani/Bale and they are linked again today with Suarez. It's all madness and they will probably not get one of those players unless they start selling for big money at least two of Ronaldo/Maria/Kaka/Benzema/Higuain/Modric/Ozil.

If they do go all out for Isco and we lose out i think we should definitely move for a certain Luka Modric, he's only 27, highly proven over here and an outstanding player. It really wouldn't surprise me if Mourinho makes a move for him in the next few weeks because he wanted to go to Chelsea a while back.

Re: Isco (Part 7 (Saturday saga part 2))

Thought there was talk of Real Madrid and Barcelona being forced to share some of their TV income with the rest of Spanish Football as the rest of their clubs are close to bankruptcy
