Isco

All he (Isco) needs to do is look at what happened to Sergio Canales, another bright prospect with great potential who was hovered up by Real Madrid. He has now disappeared off the radar (sold on to Valencia I think?).
Modric, Coentrao and Pepe are all world class and could get into most elevens and be one of the stars for teams yet all 3 are subs now.

Re: Isco (Part 7 (Saturday saga part 2))

Playing devils advocat for a minute he should sign for Madrid he would be going there because of the club not who is in charge, if he signs for MCFC he is coming to us not because of the club but the manager. If you were Nasri, Silva whose position may be under threat by his arrival you might be thinking Isco would get playing time because of his relationship with manager and not based on performance.

I was just reading that Isco apparently said a few seasons ago that Madrid are an arrogant club, is this true?

true story. mundo deportivo have just put it up on their website too about what he said 3 years ago.

The other good things is that Pellegrini dislikes Madrid and really dislikes Perez who made his job as hard as possible at Madrid. Pellegrini can talk to Isco about the true nature of the club. Hopefully that could turn his head back our way.

For the future career development of the lad and not just my selfish City wants, I really hope he joins City. Been proven time and time again that playing and coaching staff at teams like Madrid and Barca (especially Madrid) are just pawns in a political game for the current president's election run.

If Madrid are making promises of playing time its under a false pretence as it ultimately comes down to the manager (of which they don't have confirmed yet). His best chance of getting in that World Cup squad is playing regularly for us, he won't get nearly as many chances at Madrid as he would here.

Let's just accept it's all over on this one. Bit
of reverse psychology always does the trick.
It's dead in the water, we've not even spoken to him.

Re: Isco (Part 7 (Saturday saga part 2))

It's a hard life.

F*** me, I can't even go the cash Machine without shitting myself in case I haven't got any money left in my account. :-)

Isco: Manchester City or Real Madrid.

"Fuck!"

Pelligrini's big strength is his man management. He is respected for his fairness and decision making. Isco will know this from previous experience. pelligrini will get the best from Isco. Hopefully he will be able to get the best from other players?

This one is going to come down to 2 things-

1. How much of a daddies boy is the lad?

2. How persuasive is our new manager.
Think it depends on the bucks the new rm president throws at him making promises he wont be able to keep.. playing time etc... he is playing for big stakes whats his name perez?

Surely the money offered is similar both sides? Just have a feeling our new manager will get this through. He will have been promised the world by both clubs, ultimately playing time should override finances on offer if indeed RM have offered more.

Re: Isco (Part 7 (Saturday saga part 2))

If he signs for City he can still play for Madrid or Barca.

3-4 years on he will only be 25.

Sign for Madrid now and he stays there and in La Liga for the rest of his career.
