I would sense that from the Malaga chairman's latest tweet (re. retiring the 22 jersey) Isco may have succumbed to the pressure and agreed to go to Madrid, as a favour to Malaga who will more than likely receive more from the transfer from Madrid.

Cringe. Ridiculous to talk of retiring the shirt number of a 21 year old kid, that you've only had for a couple of years, who isn't a product of your youth team or even a supporter of the club and who thankfully hasn't had some tragedy befall him.

HE IS A MALAGA FAN.

I thought we established this 900 pages ago??

Oh right well in that case it makes perfect sense to retire his shirt number. as you were.

So basically the rags are whoever the individual person doesnt like and the City team are the neighbour that is shite

So if you dont like Barca you HAVE TO like Espanyol
If you dont like Real Madrid you have to like Atletico Madrid (personally I would rather skin my cat alive than support Atletico but there you go)

not true, for Madrid you can support Getafe or Rayo Vallecano.

No disrespect to Prestwich_Blue but he's just guessing. He didn't really have any inside track during the Mancini saga and he hasn't suddenly gained one now.

How do you know? you only joined yesterday?

Or were you a lurker??

Anyway, retiring his shirt??? Seriously, wtf? that proves what nutcases we're dealing with.

I'm still confident btw.

so what..are you the membership police..

TBH as much as I want to I don't believe any of this "Isco deal still alive" lark.

The overwhelming evidence is that we were trying to convince Isco to come to us right up until last night, but Pellegrini failed with his phone call and now Real Madrid are just waiting for the right moment to announce it.

Anyway, bollocks to Isco, he's backstabbed Pellers and if he was *that* good I believe more clubs would have been in for him. Let him rot on Madrid's bench, if we come up against them in the Champions League we'll show him what he's missing.

Anybody's guess is as good as other one's. Isco might still end up here, who knows. I for one, won't hold grudge against him if he doesn't join us.

I like Getafe just for the way you pronounce it

Forget Isco & Cavani...get Bale!!!

Levy bent us over, spanked and fisted us over bloody Adebayor.
I dread to think what he'd do if we went for Bale. Not happening.

What are we going to do once Isco signs for whoever!! The transfer forum will grind to a halt! Productivity will rise 10 fold!!

I think you have hit the nail on the head there mate.

This thread is about a promising (no more than that) footballer most people had never heard of, and 3,000 City fans who are starved of news and bored shitless waiting for the new season.

Roll on 3pm, 17th August, Newcastle at home. Seems like an endless football-less drought right now.

This all seems like some Uri Geller thing. If we all focus on the plane and think Isco, we will be able to will him to city

Someone told me about a documentary he watched where there was a professor, a cancer patient and an audience. He got everyone in the room to "believe" the cancer wasn't really there, and guess what, it disappeared.

I believe him 100%.

Everyone believe your hardest that Isco is about to sign a contract with Manchester City F.C. ;)

Cant believe you are even mentioning the C word in relation to this....that doc has fuck all to do with football..

It relates to what the poster said that I quoted which is why I posted it. The 100% was sarcasm btw, which is why I haven't bothered to watch it.

There's no reason to. some will though, you'll see

Rags in foreign countries?
Spain - Real and Barcelona
Italy - AC Milan
Germany - Bayern
France - Paris SG (even before take-over)
Holland - Ajax
Belgium - Anderlecht

Man.City's in foreign countries?
Spain - the rest of the league, but probably Atletico Madrid
Italy - Lazio
Germany - Bor. Dortmund or Schalke
France - Ol.Marseille
Holland - Feyenoord
Belgium - FC Bruges

What was the topic again? Isco?

Hadn't noticed that so thanks. As he obviously wasn't on here during the Mancini saga it suggests he's a previously banned user so I think I'll take a close look.

No, it's not the neighbour that is shite !

It's another team who's fans will follow them through thin and thinner (with the occasional glimmer of hope), but always cling to the hope that it will get better eventually ! ;-)

And the Utd team has to be one that has 2 billion fans across the globe and has lots of 'istory (since 1993 anyway).

What an absolute load of 10-stone bollocks.

I've said it before, the people still in the belief that Isco will sign for us despite nearly everyone in the media saying otherwise are like the Comical Ali of Bluemoon.

"Whats that, Isco said Real Madrid are a club that excites him to play for? He clearly misspoke and meant City."

2010-06_comical-ali.jpg

I also see from this thread and in others that we're in the midst of a classic Bluemoon 180 degree turn.

For the past few days Isco was the very key to winning the league, now our squad with the one addition of Fernandinho in midfield is clearly already good enough to walk the league, and Dzeko will be prolific.

....and they say this place is bi-polar.

No disrespect to you either but you're clearly short of a few brain cells believing everything you read in the media is a nailed-on fact.

And if you saw some of the pm's I sent during the Mancini saga you'll have known I was pretty well spot on.
There's no smoke without fire, when there's correlation between multiple media reports and no obvious underlying motive for them you can draw certain conclusions.

What PMs did you send during the Mancini saga? All I saw was you saying that the owners were 50/50 on whether to sack Mancini right up until the pre-FA Cup final speculation, whereas fairly reliable reports since then have confirmed that the decision to sack Mancini was made far, far earlier.
