Isco

A first option for Malaga on any player leaving Madrid.

Suppose we could let them have Garcia,Sinclair,Kolorov and anything else that is deemed useless at our place as part of the deal.

I think its time to draw the curtains on this one ;-)

That agreement isn't worth the paper it's written on.

How many players leaving Madrid would see Malaga as a decent option?

It'd be like City trying to get our cast offs to go to Fulham.

Maybe, just maybe, Txiki and Peliegrini don't value Isco at 25M and just thought he was not worth the extra cash.

If Tevez is sold, and the non arrivals of Isco and Cavani...we must have one big F off transfer budget, and we all know Txiki and Solano like a good world superstar to be their poster boy......

Fits in with my Messi fantasy.

I only hope Fernandinho turns out to be a good buy... To pay 30million for a 28 year old from the Russian league and not be willing to stump up for a 21 year old who has already made a big impression in the Champions League and for Spain doesn't seem like forward thinking... last year it was RVP and Hazard -this year in all probability -Cavani and Isco...... I just don't want us to stagnate and end up feeling disappointed for not winning anything and just as importantly not playing to our potential.....

I agree. Were not buying the top shelf players anymore. Were aiming for them, missing and buying the next level down - and sometimes the level below that.
Then we are wondering why we havent won anything.

Unless we make a couple of big signings I can see another year of no trophies and then some of the top shelf players we do have will start to become restless.

No idea why we penny pinch on the better players and lay out vast sums of money for a 28 yo player from the russian league. Insane!

the fact that both of you manage to get his former league wrong makes me think you aren't city fans

I worry that they are and flapper extremes at that

Oh fuck off Real Madrid..

Although us losing out to Isco isn't the biggest deal in the world, it is a bit of a disappointment, but hopefully we still sign some great talent this transfer window, and we have already signed two great prospects, so it won't be Scott Sinclair all over again like last season.

Why wouldnt it be?

Pretty certain Madrid have a very strong pool of players who cant break into the first team squad-ideal for a club like Malaga who lets face it havent got a pot to piss in at the moment.

According to reports, Real Madrid have offered €25million + midfielder Kaka to Milan for star forward Stephan El Shaarawy.

So Madrid like our targets :)
Maybe they hacked into our computers too .....

I could be mistaken but dosn't El Shaarawy play in a similar position to where Isco would play, on the left of a front 3 can't see how they would want both.

Something that is weird about the Isco saga is how few clubs were in for him. Imagine Messi at age 21 being on the market for €30m... every club in every country would be stuffing their money down his g-string.

But with Isco, one was Manchester City (at the request of Isco's football daddy), and the other was Real Madrid (almost forced into it by Zinedine Ze Ram).

I know he's brilliant against 18 La Liga clubs and U21 players, but he went missing against Dortmund and very barely features (if at all) for his national team.

How do you know we wouldn't pay what was asked? From what I have made out he has picked Madrid over us because he wants to play there and not here. Not because we wouldn't match Madrids offer.
