2.30am and only just got back to instanbul and just getting a beer.

was heading to Saw for 5:50 no buses, got on one for town, got back off as couldn't see us going anywhere for hrs

ubered it £30 between 3 of us, cheaper than new flights

Disaster. Got back to the old town via taxi. Complete mess. Helped drag some poor woman in a wheelchair over the gravel, no help in sight.

Rough that car park isn’t it, I thought the orange one at home we use was bad! Absolute nightmare that was.

Before the match we got the shuttle from the airport to the ground and the supposedly 40 min trip took 2 hours. It was shambolic.

After the game, we walked around to the Inter side of the ground and got straight on the Metro. We were near where we were staying in about 10 - 15 mins.

Nightmare. I risked it on the metro and was back at Taksim an hour ago. The bus on the way to the match was shocking so that made me mind up. Just about to get the havaist bus from taksim to airport for £4 for 8am flight. Looks like there might be a lot of last minute panics at the airport later!
