Franny had one thing in mind when he took over: FrannySwales was in it for himself. He was a greedy jumped up twat who nearly killed off a great football club. Franny got so many things wrong but if he hadn't wrestled the club out of that slimey bastards hands we would probably be Coventry City or far worse by now
I remember that game like it was yesterday, I hated Swales with a passion but I was so proud of our fans respecting the minutes silence they way they did that day, we have always had a good record respecting minutes silences until that shambles at Wembley v the dippers last season when half of us didnt even know there was going to be one.No chant. Impeccable silence
The minute’s silence was most definitely NOT observed by City fans for Busby when we played at Anfield.I remember that game like it was yesterday, I hated Swales with a passion but I was so proud of our fans respecting the minutes silence they way they did that day, we have always had a good record respecting minutes silences until that shambles at Wembley v the dippers last season when half of us didnt even know there was going to be one.
I think this is fair comment. It was like Hitler being replaced by Stalin. Or the other way round...Franny had one thing in mind when he took over: Franny
That’s a great shout, as much as I loved Kevin Keegan, I was gutted when we lost Bernstein, as I saw him, probably the first chairman (in my lifetime) who I had the utmost confidence in, a man of true integrity who knew what it took to steady the ship and get it moving in the right direction, was a big loss imo.Thank fuck for Bernstein.
Lee was in it for his ego to be massaged, great player but unpleasant little man.Franny had one thing in mind when he took over: Franny
Yeah ‘We’re shit and we’re sick of it’, Swales and staff peeping out of the small windows to see the angry crowds outside the main entrance. We certainly rose to the occasion in those days :)Some fantastic memories, angry crowds massed outside the mosaic entrance, the air thick with fags and booze and anarchy and tension. Utter chaos. Loved it.
Fair enough, didnt know about that. The minute’s silence was most definitely NOT observed by City fans for Busby when we played at Anfield.
If they have one for Ferguson, I am staying on the concourse. The minute’s silence was most definitely NOT observed by City fans for Busby when we played at Anfield.
