Traditional hours in Spain. EU membership breaking this down. A co I did business with in Madrid worked 8-12 and 4-8. Local restaurant peak hour was 11 pm. and often full at 1am. Madrid temperature in August was 35 at night. During the day, many went to the cinema for aircon. Often 40 or more during day. Some do have early starts to their day, often up at 05:00 and start work early, four hours breaks in the afternoon, rarely see locals out and about in the hottest part of the day, they eat late in the evening and stay up late at night… their buildings are designed to keep cool, air con is everywhere…
Or as my African mate at work says “I moved to Britain to get away from the hot weather”.
