It hasn't upset me as much as I thought I would

fair enough. Just feels like you are going out of your way to prove how not bothered you are.

United and Liverpool fans do the same when they say they don’t care about city winning. Not saying you are one by the way

Well I wasn't, if anything rather than the doom n gloom threads we get after any loss nowadays, I thought a bit of the old win or lose on the booze attitude was rather more cathartic,

I aint happy mainly with pep, I feel bad for every blue who was there, and tbf feel more deflated today than kast night.

But unlike the rags and scousers, I am bothered, but as my OP said, wierdly not as much as I thought I would be

Spending £700 watching the team I love not winning a major final, watching and listening to Chelsea cunts celebrating, going home to two kids who were devastated to not get tickets and even more devastated to see their team lose last night, getting up ready to trudge back to the airport having lost, yes I really fucking care, a lot
Make that more like £900, I forgot the 3 Covid tests and the new City shirt. The money is the least of my devastation. Anyone not that bothered is entitled to their opinion, I just find it really fucking weird

Without the lows theres no highs
Nothing will ever ever top 93:20. We were literally staring into the abyss. As disappointed as I feel right now, if that goal hadn't gone in I'd have been suicidal. That's how I'm trying to deal with it.

No, not really, disappointed but taking the season as a whole a final, a semi final , winning the league and a cup, it’s a very good season, better than anyone elses in Europe.
We’ve made that next step by reaching a champions league final, and we’ll win it when we win it whether it’s next year or in a few years as long as we are winning other stuff playing good football I’m fine with it. But think the addition of a Haaland / Kane/ Mbappe will push us to that last step.
I’d rather that than play the way Chelsea have played to win both their champions leagues, sitting back soaking up pressure scoring a break away, it’s okay but not for me.

I’m not suicidal but I really fucking didn’t like waking up this morning. Two hours later and I feel worse. It’s true that some of our support doesn’t have the passion and intensity as in the dark days.

You invested a lot of time , money and emotion on our team yesterday, I didn't.
I'm well versed in City defeats and don't get "gutted" , it bothers me more that it all was avoidable with a better team selection.

All last week leading up to game I'd assumed we'd play a 'normal' tactical formation and our big/in form players.
I reckoned in those circumstances I 'd estimated we would beat Chelsea seven times out of ten. Obviously things can go wrong with bad luck,VAR, poor form of some players etc etc.
So I was prepared to be disappointed.
When I saw the team selection my anticipation completely reversed to expecting defeat.
So in the short term, less gutted than I thought I would be.
But long term I will feel worse because the thought will always linger that this defeat was self inflicted.

Gutted

My 11 year olds were in tears

Explained to them to remember the feeling as when we win the bloody thing they will appreciate it more and for longer
Let’s hope they don’t wait as long as we have pal! On the way back to the airport and when I get home I have 12 and 15 year old City mad kids to console. Who’s going to console me lol
