In Khaldoons interview, he did say we know who we don't need or something along those lines.

I think Garcia and one of Negredo/Dzeko is off.
Surely we can't keep 4 very good strikers happy?
Same with CM if Fernando comes.

Nah, we need 3 Central midfielders to rotate and keep the players fresh. When Fernandinho got injured we struggled against Barca and Chelsea with Garcia coming in the side when not match fit. Fernando would rotate with the other two and we could still use Garcia if he stays to shore up a game and in the cups.

In all positions we need two players in case of injurys, we struggled at centre back and in midfield last season at times to find a fit enough player. We were fortunate with our four strikers that Dzeko stayed fit and found some form with the other 3 injured, likewise the right back position could have been tricky if we had lost Zaba to injury or suspension for any length of time. I agree we may be able to sell a striker if we could cover the position by bringing in an attacking midfielder who can play in a more advanced role but if all our strikers are happy to share the role then we may be better sticking with the ones we have.

Our most fragile areas for sure, the entire left flank in particular. I mentioned Pedro as he works really hard defensively as well as having a lot of pace on the attack. A great team-player.
As for the left centre back... I chose Vertonghen as our two other known targets seems to be out of our financial reach.

I doubt we have any chance of getting Shaw.

I wonder if we can buy young english players, but negotiate it in some sort of first option way, thus meaning that we secure them, but they stay at their club for another season (better for all parties in reality) and we don't have the cost on this season's books, thus meaning our 60m limit is not breached, but we've got the players?

Well it seemed a simple summer with mainly targets like Mangala, Fernando, Sagna and maybe a GK instead of Panti.

We hoped to get the targets in early.

Last few days were showing other direction tho.

Mangala maybe prefers other clubs, we maybe try Benatia instead of him but he is preferred by Barca maybe even United so a very big fight will going over Benatia where ever he ends up.

Milner maybe trying to leave too and now Yaya and his agent dropping the bomb.

Hard to imagine there wont be more negative surprises along the way in summer...
