I agree with this, I took my brother to the airport yesterday and good god the car park in Terminal 3 was like a Mercedes/BMW/Jag dealership. I didn't think I did that badly but jesus a lot certainly seem to be doing very nicely for themselves..
I know a lot of people in their very early 20's at our place and none of them are driving a sh**y 10 year old Astra like I was at their age. Half my mates who are now touching 30 have 3/4 bedroom houses, solid jobs.. I don't know anyone who is struggling at all. Me and the mrs went to Ikea last week and we had to nearly park in a field because it was that busy.
If you go into town on a Saturday it is hard for me to agree that 'the majority' are poor or in some way struggling.
I think there are a lot of people struggling without a doubt but I cannot see how there is any majority who are less well off and in any form of severe poverty.
And an awful lot financed upto death no doubt mate.
