I don't understand point one. It's walking half way down the pitch and kicking a ball 12 yards. How warm do professional football players have to be to do that?
Anybody could do that, professional or not.

But like you see in training, players always try to do personal ball training to warm up their touch, control, passing etc before real training starts.

For these professionals, going in cold IS going to have a negative effect, it's just a reality.

Edit: He should have subbed them on way earlier to get a feel for the ball and game, for say Sterling and Kane who were quite ineffective that game, especially Kane.

Out coached by Mancini. Simple as.
Machina made the right moves at the right times while Southgate dithered and made the wrong moves.

he's a shithouse, got some great creative players at his disposal but starts with 5 defenders and 2 holding midfielders, gets a goal after a minute then he's like a rabbit in the headlights, fuckin clueless, baffling subs and the choice of penalty takers baffling yet he'll get his arse licked in the media.
ffs this competition was rigged for us to win and he failed miserably

The lack of serious game time for foden and grealish should mean a trip to the job centre but we are stuck with him. There can't be many countries who have the best league, a squad of highly rated and paid players that see their national team as underdogs and have such little expectation.

If the man had any decency and was honest about his limitations he should resign tomorrow. Unfortunately the fact we got to even a semi never mind a final makes him very secure.

His pundit mates can't speak highly enough about him. A poor man's Roberto di Matteo

Why did we continue to allow Italy's defenders to pass the ball around their own penalty area without pressing them. Instead our players just tried to block any pass. Should have been harrying them into making mistakes.
And as for the penalty shootout Rashford's show pony antics put a lot of pressure on those coming after him. And they were not experienced enough to stand the pressure.
Disappointing game overall in my mind.
Final comment - just seen the player ratings on the mUen and apparently Shaw is the best left back in the world - yes ha had a good game but really!!!!!

Haha Wembley officials trying to claim no ticket less fans breached the stadium. Then they see all the social media stuff proving otherwise and quickly update their statement to claim "some" fans got in but they were all out by halftime, how the hell did they manage that then?

Wembley is well known especially amongst blues as being piss poor with security, all on them for skimping with security.
The United semi final was ridiculous for Blues jobbing into Wembley. There were fucking loads of us in our end that day

I am happy no City player took a pen and missed. They would have been media targets. Especially if it comes to sudden death and Sterling misses the one deciding it.

United and Arsenal has to explain now on their part. :))
