I don't rate Sturridge at superstar level, but he's probably better than Adam Johnson (I don't think we'd keep both, especially since AJ didn't even make the bench the past few games).

Unless my mind's drawing a blank, Chelsea and United don't really do business with each other, do they?

We need a Martinez type more than anything, so happy if he's indeed our #1 target.

With Sturridge we'd probably only need 3 out-and-out strikers as he can play striker as well as on the wing. It would give us some versatility without breaking the bank.
