De Jong might only get 80k a week in new contract but he will get a fair chunk of a 15m transfer fee !

and playing time.

With all due respect to Nig, with him only having 12 months on his contract, i think we'll be lucky to see more than half that sum

It would be a bloody shock if PSG took Ibra and TS and AC went and got RVP and De Rossi.

I suspect they will try and do a deal for Cavani if they can't get/afford Tevez

He would command a higher fee than Tevez and according to Tolmie would want the same wages.

I doubt that the same conditions would be on the table if Napoli were dealing with another italian club. Also, Cavani's agent may be trying to get 200k/wk from us, but he would probably be looking for considerably less if he goes to Milan. Just speculating of course.

Just watched Ross Barkley for England U19s and really think he is worth a Rooney-esque assault on Everton for. Brilliant passing, vision beyond even the senior English players, and a great athlete. His work and pass to Afobe for England's penalty was stunning, Silva-esque.

John Lundstram from Everton was also very impressive, good academy they have.

That's an unfortunate spelling mistake..

I've never quite understood why the Italian clubs are always so short (or claim to be) of wonga. What do they do with it all? I mean it's not as if they don't win at the bookies every week is it?

Yeah you could tell from the off that he was a couple of levels above the majority of players on the pitch. Everything went through him.

The amount of money that would have to be spent on him for him to play about 2 Premier League games all season wouldn't be justified though if you ask me.

Can't see how we'd be able to give him a big enough chance to prove himself. I think he's better of staying at Everton for at least another year.

I have always like Barkley ever since his Everton debut

Zab and Silva going absolutely nowhere.

For some reason I think it's Richards who might be on the way out. As much as he did improve last year he still isn't comfortable carrying the ball forward has a pretty poor crossing ability and still sleeps in in defence, and is caught out not getting back when he does go forward. Mancini was always very non-committal when asked about him going for the England set-up and hasn't vetoed the Olympics in favor or a preseason with the club. I mean the other 2 older players are well into their 30's and won't be playing as automatic first team players next year.
It wouldn't be my ideal way to do things this summer but if the owners want to fast track us for a European challenge then I would imagine Richards, Lescott, de Jong,Barry and Tevez would be the ones to lose out. I get the feeling Dzeko might not be safe either as I suspect
there is still a feeling of being let down by him on Mancini's part from that night in Munich. He started most games before that and was scoring plenty but after he seemed to be put to the bench for Mario who seems to be Mancini's private project but I suspect he will have to step up this year or see his bags packed

What the actual fuck is that pile of garbage

My opinion like i said elsewhere in the thread i wouldn't want to sell him but as th alluded that fans might be disappointed with who was on the way out but only til we see who replaces them or at least thats what most took from his posts. Most believe that Mancini wants players who are comfortable on the ball and of all our full backs i would say that Richards is the least technically able of the lot and is a fan favorite. Still don't think he is the finished article in defence though he did have a very good season and on the most part stopped the mistakes i pointed out even got more assists than i thought last year with a surprising 6 according to wikipedia. It was a lot of speculative conjecture based around what most were thinking that th meant a fan favorite could be on the way out and maybe should have made that bit clearer and like i say i don't want him sold.
