Does it not bother anyone else that, in Agger and RVP, we are not only talking about signing 2 really injury prone footballers, but one pretty outspoken and arrogant individual, as so many Dutchies tend to be.

May I point out we have had our problems with both these types of late and if Mr Respondez S'il Vous Plait gets on the wrong side of Bob, we may have another Ade on our hands. Meanwhile, Edin is the epitome of a team player, is rarely injured, and is actually quite good.

RVP required as he is more clinical than Dzeko and that's what is needed in the CL.

But is he more clinical than Aguero or Tevez or even Balotelli... because that's who he's replacing.

I don't get this "RvP is better than Dzeko" argument. RvP is coming to be a first choice striker and that means possibly Balotelli will end up as our 4th. choice striker.

Bear in mind that at the European Championships Balotelli was posibly the most outstanding forward in the tournament, and RvP bombed.

Be careful what you wish for. I remember the clamour for us to sign Roque Santa Cruz and Robbie Fowler!

How much would you say it would take to get Agger lads? I just can't see them accepting any bid unless its heavily excessive.

The dippers on RAWK are quoting stupid money, £30M+... I reckon £18M - £20M would do it... Send Savic the oposite way as part of the deal :)

Are they not on the look-out for another striker could use ade as part of the deal and pay them 15mill...

Yes we could well see us letting the fcuker go for nothing at the end of the window,just to be rid of him,although would rather put the fcuker through a window...

Me to mate. Unfortunately on Bluemoon there are a lot of posters who genuinely know absolutely fuck all about the game. The best ones are the ones who pretend they do though.

On a serious note, I really hope we add both of these players. We'd be stronger at both 'ends' of the field and have added competition for the starting 11.

Harsh, but fair ;). Agger would mean we could give Vinny a rest, or play a back three and rest Silva. RvP would mean we could give Sergio a rest, or play alongside him and rest Tevez. A Martinez or De Rossi would mean we could give Yaya a rest, or cover for him whilst he's away. All these things have to be seen as positives to my mind, yet there's plenty queuing up to criticize these potential signings.

I'm curious how both the extended vacation from the Champions League and Kenny pissing an untold amount of cash up the wall on shite (though granted Torres would have largely covered that little indiscretion) is effecting the owners thoughts on where to go from here. Players like Agger are far too good to be challenging for, at best, the Europa league, and he's one of the Liverpool players still worth a decent amount of cash. Barcelona will be offering 10m and a packet of crisps so I would have thought 20m would be a very fair offer for a quality 27 year old CB. I'm not sure what his personal thoughts are on the matter but if you'd been told by your agent that the league champions and Barcelona (:p) are after your services unless he's got some other tie to the club you'd think he wouldn't exactly be clinging onto the door frames to hang around. How long does he have left on his contract?

RvP is in my opinion a luxury we like every luxury don't need. I trust Mancini in what ever he will do but we will see.
