I worry a bit about his Sciatica, I suffer with it and although I'm ok most of the time but when it hits it hits hard and there isn't really any treatment for it

excuse my ignorance, what is it?
and is there diffferent degrees. does it get worse with age

also if you had the level of medical attention that de rossi will get how well can it be managed?

any of the statos, how many games does he get in a season?

It's essentially pain/numbness that comes from damage to the sciatic nerve... Essentially compression along the lumbar region and in many cases the spine. It is still a medical mystery... They have conducted research where even "sugar pills" have shown ether effects than epidurals. If I were a city physio I'd recommend a healthy diet, yoga and consistent time on the table. De Rossi needs to be in a professional environment suited only for football. If not he will have a tough time in his later
years.

He is a righteous player though... If Sciatica is the only thing he has to deal with over the next 6 years he should get 125 league games. He is a very tough guy.
We don't buy 29 year olds. Prefer to keep De Jong. DDR too old and too risky

Why do people think DDR is to old at 29. Midfielder are not like they used to be look at scholes. We could easily get 4/5 good years out of DDR.

If duringthat time he helps to cement our place at the top of the league and improve in CL then he would have been a good signing

As a 29 yr old DDR would seem to make more sense at the numbers quoted than RVP. Not sure if the €7.5 million a season is anticipated wages but if so then places his true cost at around £55m over 4 years. RVP would be nearer £70m. As our needs are greater in his position and we do not need another striker it makes DR over RVP a no brainier for me.

Have we signed a single player in that age bracket? If we spend big, it's on young players.

Footballing wise it would improve us if he's fit. But there are question marks there. I don't know about his fitness. Just what TV commentators said during the Euros. That's a bit worrying but we don't even know if we're in for him. I bet DDR is one of those players where there's always speculation about his future

-- Wed Aug 15, 2012 9:22 am --

95% of my objection to RVP is that it would be at the expense of Tevez or Aguero as these are the players who start for City. Not the same with DDR, but if are in for him then this is a departure from our transfer strategy and a very odd time to do it when FFP just kicking in.

And all of a sudden this appears :

Translation =
As reported by Alfredo Pedulla on his official website, "the last hour there have been contacts with Roma and provide some email exchange. We had said in recent days that the City of De Rossi would have extended the offer until you pass the wall of 35 million. And the wall has been exceeded 40 million with the ability to go higher, considering the bonuses. And in a multi-year midfielder from about 7.5 million per season. Now the ball goes to Rome, the offer is the that they tremble. "

can someone please explain what this means to me, i read it over and over again and i have no idea what to make of it because it makes no sense

This. Fucking gobbledygook

Bloody hell how thick are you both ?
1) E-mails have been sent between Clubs ref Rossi.
2) £35M buy out clause has been exceeded to £40M by City
3)Wages are £7.5M per year.
4) Roma are now shitting themselves as the figure from City nor anyone was expected to reach the £35M.

Why would we exceed the player's buy-out clause?

Bluemoon would have an issue with any player we sign...

Messi: Too expensive. Unproven in the Prem.
Ronaldo: Not a big game player
Iniesta and Xavi: Too old
Ozil: Poor at the Euros
RvP: Injuries and Age

Even if we were signing our players:

Silva: Ankle problems
Nasri: Hot head, poor international record.
Yaya: ACON, Too old with no resale.
Aguero: Unproven in the Prem...
Balotelli: Hot head

Every player has flaws. If we were to buy mid 20s steady eddies we'd be boring and midtable.

hey my name is eddie!
we are always good solid signings who generraly churn out the expected results and increase in value.

obviously you have not heard of fast eddy, very fast eddy. not so good but getting better eddie dangerous eddy and macvalue eddy the third.

i expect a formal apology in the form of a letter

Apologies Eddie. I just hope your not fast eddy for the missus!

ay! on occasion i have been slightly too fast, i mean with the weather the way it is , olympics and tough economic conditions it is perfectly understandable though....

apology noted and accepted
