Maybe Sturridge is on his way back home then? I would love that, provided of course he now understands it's not all about him scoring goals... it's assisting goals. Unfortunately, last night showed no signs of that.

I think Dzeko and Tevez leaving has meant no strikers coming in.

We have Kolo Toure, along with Savic, Lescott and Kompany thats 4 CM's. So maybe they see no need.

Nah mate, everyone's well aware that he's a big bonus. However we were definitely intending to spend over 30mil on Hazard so once that fell through I think most people thought and expected that we would still make at least 1 significant signing. De Rossi would have been 30mil or so as well.

Just seems our strategy has been a bit strange this window, meanwhile Chelsea just keep on spending and once they've signed a striker as well will be up at the 100mil level.

for me, Kolo is decent cover/replacement for lescott

however i think that is the problem, i dont think he wants to be used in that role...he wants to start most games and that is why he wants out
