I agree. He needs more game time and if he gets it, and especially if we start playing with 3 at the back, he could be the big centre forward who bangs in the goals. I could see him getting 25 a season and we would be mad to sell him. Especially trying to win or go far in all competitions. And, he brings a different style to the game if and when Aguero and Tevez buzzing around has not worked. Set pieces and corners are vital weapons against park-the-bus defences and Aguero and Tevez are pretty useless in the air. Dzeko scores headers for fun.

Spot on Kun and Tevez together will not always work and Dzeko will be relied upon to get us over the line or give us the impetus to and the last two home games are classic examples of this.

We need all four and we would be very very foolish to sell Dzeko.

The guy will become a living legend at this club if given the time and right environment I am absolutely convinced of that and he comes with no maintenance as well.

Some of us cannot see the forest from the trees but such is life.

Dzeko for me just isnt mobile enough for our league and isnt going to ever create much for himself. I agree he is our best threat int he air but our delivery from out wide and from corners isnt always the best.......its just a personnel preference of mine but i dont like playing with a target man which dzeko essentially is....his performance vs southampton was overall very poor....slow to react, poor touch and cannt lead the line....however he does find himself in the right place at the right time as he did vs southampton.....but a child could have put that chance away if we are being honest
Employed to scores goals, and he does. I disagree about his general play against Soton as well.

i agree with u and my best mate hates Dzeko with a passion and at the soton game he actually said he played well today, i suppose he think's that kolarov was crap in the shield.

If De Jong goes to AC does that mean we're in the market for another CM?

The pursuit of De Rossi surely confirmed we are? Hopefully Milan offer money and don't ask for a loan... surely even they can't do that knowing he is out of contract next summer.

I could see us going in for M'Vila as a replacement because it seems like a reasonably cheap (£15million range) deal that could be done quite fast, but I doubt he was top of our priority list before the "Summer of Snubs" started.

Just worry about what we can do in 9 days mate

I am not as worried. In the 2008-09 season we had signed Jo, Tal Ben Haim and Vincent Kompany up until this point. Then all hell broke lose and we signed SWP, Pablo Zabaleta, Glauber Berti and Robinho
