Pity nobody bid that then eh. If I were as unhappy as you I'd send my season card back.

Mancini said we were offered it, not me.

I am not unhappy in the slightest with City, we are champions! Just very, very frustrated by lack of quality brought in to the fold.

Balotelli is a gem on his day but an illness on his off days. Consistency is key and Falcoa provides that. Yaya gets a knock and we turn to Milner?

I suppose I am an ungrateful swine for thinking logically?

If it is then TH deserves every shellacking he gets with all those vids and bomb speeches.

Still no new contract for Silva either, needs sorting NOW!

No TH does not deserve ANY of that

Our Targets are well known

RVP
HAZARD
DE ROSSI
JAVI MARTINEZ

Those were all bombs, nukes actually
But this is transfer business and all the top clubs were chasing what we were chasing, we did not bend over for any of the players or the agents and as for martinez our management believed he was too expensive for what he was available for.

This is how it is when you are dining at the top table
Im glad city has reached this stage that we have the same targets as English or european giants. those were all bombs and tolmie was right, the deals did not happen due to one reason or another, but we were in for the TOP players and im happy for that and opefully in future we will be in for top players and hopefully get them.

Tolmie was wrong. He said we were signing Silva imminently iirc. Still no ink to paper and many calls have been wide of the mark.

I understand full well the transfer market is fast moving but not a single bomb has come off.

Don't be linking players when we are enquiring, save it for when its close to being done. For fucks sakes don't be claiming ITK status when most of the calls were wrong too.

Just my bit on that, last of it from me. Just frustrated that people quote him as be and end all when he is off the mark. People moan that he isn't here but if getting hopes up from a vague video post is a highlight then people need to discover the wonders of internet porn.

BOMBS>>>?????? NASRI, TEVEZ, AUGERO, KOMPANY, SILVA, there is a fucking NUCLEAR HOLOCAUST

Don't worry, FIFA 13 is out soon for you to play

FFS, people are allowed to question the club without being called flappers or kids who play fifa.

Where do people keep getting this £100m shit from. We didn't spend that last year, we signed Nasri for £24m, Clicuhy for £7m and Aguero for £35m, that's £66m!

This year we have spent £12+12+8+4, 36m that is and that's not allowing for Johnson or Adebayor either whom bring in £15m rising to £20m, so that's £21m we have spent. As champions we should be spending more than that. FFS Chelsea bought Oscar for more than that alone!

We need a CM and pronto. Nothing but world class will do if we are serious about making strides in Europe. I like Milner and Barry but they wouldn't get in many top teams and we should be adding to them rather than relying on them.

£40m offer for Balo would have been accepted, with or without Mancinis approval. Falcoa would have been bought instead. I defy anybody who thinks differently too.

Leave me with the choice of having faith re Balo in your judgement or Mancini's. Forgive me, but I'm going with Roberto.

Forget his woeful performances against Arsenal and Liverpool especially.

I called out Savic and people said trust in Mancini, Savic is going now. Does that make me correct now? Do I have to wait for Balo to implode or be sold before I get my point accepted?

I do trust Mancini but i'd tell him as I do the board. Balo is nowhere near the levels of Falcoa and will never be. Falcoa is sublime and world class, Balo should make way for him. We rid ourselves of ridicule when he fucks up and we inherit a talent that is capable of downing teams single-handedly.

-- Thu Aug 30, 2012 2:02 pm --

I'm happy with that. I know the boo boys will think we should have spent 100 million, but if they think we will maintain the spending of previous seasons in the future then they are gonna be so disappointed.

We will have regressed.

De Jong and Johnson are superior to Rodwell and Sinclair.
Nastasic is superior to Savic, not seen him but has to be!

So that's 2 ngative and 1 positive. It actually weakens us as an outfit. I don't knwo what is to be happy about in that respect.

The 'boo boys' are fans that want City to build on last year and start a dynasty. Real won their league and strengthened, so did Juventus. Bayern finished runners up in CL and strengthened, Chelsea won it and did too. Then we have United across the road strengthening, Kagawa and RVP will make noise I guarantee you that.

So are all the above clubs wrong and us right?
Does being a good fan mean you have to be chuffed with signings I would expect Spurs/Liverpool to make?
Is it 'the done thing' to call questioners flappers?
Is it correct that don't strengthen on the key area of midfield that saw us struggle hugely when Yaya went to ACON.

I will be far from happy if things end like this. I will be seriously worried about our chances to keep premier league too. Peope can call me whatever the fuck you like but I tell you now it will be a damn site harder than last year.

I stopped reading there

You rate Sinclair and Rodwell over Johnson and De Jong? 2 youn unproven players over people that feature for national team?

You mention national team as if that matters in the slightest.

What has johnson ever done for England? Failed to get in the shittest squad ever for the Euros. And De Jong isn't exactly ripping up trees for Holland.

Right so unless we have a different squad for prem league from Champions league, we are finished.

Out

RSC
Bridge
Ade
Savic
Weiss
AJ
NDJ

In

Nastavic
Maicon
Sinclair

...............................Hart/Pants

Maicon/Richards......Kompany/Kolo......Lescott/Nastivic....Kolorov/Clichy

Zab RB, LB, Midfield.

Sinclair/Milner.......Barry/Rodwell.........Yaya/Nasri.........Silva

Tevez/Aguero/Dzeko/Balotelli

Plus 3rd keeper.

As opposed to

........................................Hart/Pants

Zab/Richards..........Kompany/Kolo.......Lescott/Savic....Kolorov/Clichy

Milner/AJ...............NDJ/Barry/Rodwell........Yaya/Nasri........Silva

Dzeko/Balotelli/Aguero/Tevez.

In essence we have effectively strengthened the right back area allowing Zab to be used in a variety of roles, strengthened the centre backs with another left footed player and replaced Sinclair for AJ.

I know loads of £30 million world class midfielders that love sitting on the bench wasting their talent and careers

What a presumptuous cretin you are, stereotyping me like that!

Prove my post to be wrong or reply with a childish remark.

You complete and utter fool. Why the hell even come on a forum? Why discuss things when you cannot handle a sensible reply? Why the Fifa remark, btw I haven't got 12 let alone 13 and nor do I own FM. I do actually watch 20 hours of football a week and coach it but that matters not a jot. I am a Fifa 13 player who KFA because some twat said so.

Most people on here agreed that tweaking not marquee signings were required. Looks like we have that. This will put us in good stead for the next couple of windows re: FFP, should we really need top drawer reinforcements

I think tweaking the squad is fine if you keep the squad in tact.

Johnson / NDJ out - both played their parts last season

Rodwell / Sinclair in - direct replacements / same quality ? so squad pretty much the same.

tevez - like a new signing so attack strenghened
Natastic - possibly strenghening but pretty much unproven

Main issue is - Yaya or komps injured = big trouble - no real quality backups

Forgive me if I'm incorrect, but I'm pretty sure about a month ago Silva himself said that he expected to sign his contract within a week.

Just accept that things do not always go according to plan.

Oh, and ban Silva, the WUM.
