Don't normally comment on player transfers as everything is a guessing game, and 99.9% of people don't know and will never find out what has taken place between the Club, the agent, and the player.

But it does seem plausible that Haaland is looking for assurances about Pep's medium to long term future at the club. After all, Pep is one of the main reasons why Haaland would want to come to City. So he has every right to know what Pep's plans are for the future.

Swapping a centre back for a midfielder (an area where we're well covered comparatively) is odd to suggest when we don't have anyone lined up as a replacement. While Aké is more than capable, we'll be down to 3 senior centre backs, and I don't think that's ideal. Also far as I know, and Tolmie has also suggested this, we don't do swap deals. Hence it's rather laughable.

FDJ would significantly strengthen us in an are one injury could severely damage us.
Rudiger is a better player,and is on a free.....we get in the hunt.

We'll see. Imo he's not necessary.

I think if we're going to rotate Rodri and give him competition the profile at least have to have the physical attributes of him or Ferna, not just about the passing ability or ball retention, even Gundogan has played that role for us in Ferna's absence. I'd be looking at other players is all. Does not mean I do not rate Frenkie, but when we were interested at the time he was about to move from Ajax, that was it. Maybe the ship has sailed.

Pep will always honour a contract thats a certainty, yeah we coukd sack him but with his record that outcome is highly unlikely, it’s obviois if Tolmies information is true then it has to do with Peps tenure at the club and you can understand why Haaland woukd want to work long term with the finest coach who has ever walked this earth.

1) overrated.
2) overpriced and not worth a wank.
3) injury prone.
4) demanding too much money.
5) too old and no sell on value.
6) we got better in the academy.
7) many,many more..........it'll be exciting.....stay tuned.
