People are underestimating Frenkie's quality. You have to remember he's the only one who carried Barca's midfield while Messi saved them in the league and on the big stage much as he could. He was also singlehandedly carrying Ajax, for all the praise Van De Beek or Ziyech got, he was the glue, if you know then you saw how they took time to recover from his loss, and them other 2 got sold on.
I will agree on his profile and the lack of need for that right now. Good as he is, unfortunately the time has passed. Had we not gotten Rodri (which I think has eventually proven brilliant and I always stuck by how good this signing was) then Frenkie would've allowed a whole different perspective onto this team. We do need someone capable to rotate with Rodri and imo it has to be someone who's quick and physically able to cope with amount of games and quality of this league.
Zakaria, Bissouma fit the profile in some ways but can't see us getting either, the latter for off field issues and Zakaria could already be going Bayern.
