They registered him like a week ago.

He is over his injury, it would have been an unnecessary distraction and the outcome the same.

We either weren't interested in FDJ, or not interested enough to drag out a deal for Torres and complicate matters whem there was a deal there for both parties.

Or we and Barcelona may even have been open to the idea, but he was not.

Either which way, there has been no real effort so lets see what the summer brings.

My own thoughts on DM and CM cover position would be to bring Yangel Herrera back from his loan. Costs us nothing apart from his low salary. Decent enough for cover and I suspect would surprise a few how good he actually is. Gives Lavia an extra year or two to develop. Also I like Nico González looks similar in style to Frenkie de Jong but slightly younger and in a years time will only have a year left on his contract.

Frenkie de Jong is on £350m a year salary, too much when we got Bernardo and Gundogan who can play similar role.
