In terms of Gabby's motivation, maybe he's thinking long term and sees more of a project being put together at Spurs. Son is 30 next month and Kane is closing in on 30 and will surely need a bit more rotation as he goes on, and Gabby has time on his side to potentially become a big player for Tottenham over time. Plus, they're in the CL, while Arsenal aren't.

It's tricky though. At Arsenal, he'll seemingly get a lot more game time, work with a manager he knows and who admires him greatly, and be a much more vital part of their team straight away, whereas at Spurs he runs the risk of spending large periods on the bench once more. There's pros and cons to both. Personally I think he'd be better off going to Arsenal and I don't like the idea of us strengthening Spurs as I'm utterly sick of the sight of them.

I think this is the reason fans shouldn't manage the club.

I fully agree that I would call Levy, and when he answered say "oh you can come to the phone now can't you, you prick", then slam it down.

But maybe not a good strategy to be petty and vindictive, satisfying as it would be.

For me, Gabby should go to Arsenal as it would offer him the best platform.

Read my post. I said before anyone jumps the gun and, guess what, you've jumped the gun. I did not say Doyle or Delap are being sold or even for sale. I specifically did not mention names for precisely that reason. I could offer plenty of possibilities of who might (not will) be sold because I don't think anyone on here could definitely say player X or player Y will be sold.
Because of the natural progression from U-16 to U-18 and U-18 to U-23, players will either move out on loan or for some kind of fee. Those are the ones I was talking about and they will add up to more than £25m.
