They are desperate. They thought they were getting a big ESL windfall, but now they have to sell the future to survive. If the ESL doesn't happen they are seriously screwed in two years time.

Someone needs to step in though as it’s all the potential for going bang very quickly!?! Getting money upfront for future revenues in the past used to be normal but not €800m worth and that doesn’t even cover their actual debt let alone their salary issue where I believe they are still over €220m ish over the allowance? They can’t register kessie and Christensen yet either, have begged current players to take a wage cut yet want to buy lewandowski, Bernardo Silva and Kounde?!! They need controlled and regulated now and not to be allowed to continue with this charade of a business as it’s up shit creek and the paddle went 2 years ago!
