only messing. The work rate from sterling and Jesus is phenomenal. Bernie going would cause us problems I agree. No one is throwing these players out they want to go.

A new approach is needed. For all the good points you make for each player. The ability to score regularly has been a problem. Hell jesus even decided he wanted to be a winger. Sterling for whatever reason wants to go and has looked a shadow of the player he once was for us.

The club need to move on. This current team limped home again for the second season in a row. Winning the league was an amazing achievement with no forward, dwindling Fern and a lb in jail.

I am very thankful for everything that both players have contributed. We can’t fear their loss but accept change is coming mainly due to as I said the players mentioned wanting out.

Grealish was 4th in the league in expected assists per 90. Only behind KDB, TAA, and Salah. He was 2nd in the league in shot creating actions per 90 behind KDB. He led the league, by far, in carries into the penalty area (88 vs Salah 71). He's absolutely a creator and with Haaland his assist tally will surely shoot up.

I would also add that I can't think of a player who didn't improve in thier 2nd season with Pep,

Pep's never going to show his cards to the media in advance of anything...and why should he?...to think anyone could be brought onto this squad without Pep's say so is bonkers...the only way onto this squad is if he wants you...end of story, period!!!

I know, some people can`t even grasp the basics of when and when not to lie to the media.Unless your happens to be Simon Stone then Pep always lies to that fucker no matter what.

No not really… players either want to come or they don’t, they either want to stay or they don‘t. We need to stop pissing about and letting teams mug us off by tapping players up and convincing them to sit it out for a free transfer to save them money dealing with us.
We are now one of the big fish and need to stop worrying how other clubs, fans and media outlets perceive us. Screw them, they can hate us all they like but as long as we do our business right and on our terms (and within the rules) then I couldn’t care less what anyone else thought.
On a side note, we need to be banning certain media outlets and or individuals from coming anywhere near the ground on match days.

I get where you’re coming from mate, but pretty much everything you’ve described is common practice in the football industry, so what you see as mugging off, I see as a perfectly normal business practice.

Maybe having done fixed term contract work & turned down extensions has also given me a slightly different perspective on running contracts down? I just see it as a none emotional fulfilling of an obligation

As much as I’d also love us to ban certain journalists, I also believe this would be counter productive from a business & commercial perspective, so can’t see it happening
