Its right back we appear to be short on numbers.
Cancelo, Zinchenko and Ake can all cover the left.
The only cover we have for Walker on the right is bringing Cancelo over or Stones.

We have two world class right backs. Cancelo is great cover but he’s not a lb. As is Ake and zin, both good cover but for me we need a proper left back.

I think it’s dependent on United confirming their priorities are elsewhere.

He’s a smart kid, and can see they’re on the up, so my sense is they’re clearly ahead of us in his and Mino’s plans.

If Ten Hag, Rangnik and Darren Fletcher decide they want to spread their budget across a larger squad rebuild, rather than overcommit on one player, then I think he’s ours.

It’s all to play for!

I think Tolmie said the rumours of Sergio Gomes might have some legs in it. keep an eye on that.

With the way we play a traditional LB is not really needed atm, so Cancelo is already great enough to play as one and Ake/Zinchenko is great as bench player filling as LB.

Two season without playing traditional LB that much, still achieve many great thing so LB is not that high priority for the club.

Zinchenko is great at playing forward wth are you talking about, he even outperforming that position even replacing cancelo last season.

I agree for Ake but not about Zinchenko.

I’d have Cancelo as the main left back if he’s happy with it personally. He’s a lot more dangerous on the left IMO and seems to have more in his locker when he plays there compared to the right.

I might be in a minority but I feel we need a right back, not a left back (unless Zinchenko is leaving, but I hope he doesn’t).

Cancelo and Walker are too good to be right back rivals. Cancelo is our left back, and should continue to be treated as such. We then have Zinchenko and Ake to cover, it’s great. But on the right, we are missing an understudy to Walker who can develop and ultimately replace him in a few years.

Hi All , sorry I’ve not got back to all the inboxes and notifications, wasn’t being rude . just got back from a very heavy 5 nights stag du in Vegas , haven’t got the time to reply to each inbox , so thought Id post on here , everyone is asking me the same questions who’s coming and going .. so I’ll tell you what I’ve been told , Incomings .. apart from haaland nothing is set in stone at this stage , we are keeping eyes on de jong , Bellingham , nkunku and the centre back Torres .. outgoings I’m told peps completely lost faith in sterling and we are going to sell him and one off Jesus or Mahrez .. sounds like it could be gundogans last season as a blue

Like I said only just got back from Vegas this morning and just passing on what I’ve been told from my source within the club .

Absolutely fine with links to De Jong, Bellingham and Nkunku. What concerns me though - if your sources are accurate - is the alleged pursuit of a CB when we seem to be particularly well served in that area. Surely, we should be going all out for at least one speciality full back rather than constantly playing utility players in unfamiliar positions.
