Strange given the strong links to cucurella not really sure what to make of that reported interest now.

Every chance he either forgot or only wanted to talk about the two positions we desperately needed to fill, given that we lost both Fernandinho and Aguero this last year.

Could be that Zinchenko is a factor here. Does Pep want Cancelo at RB again if Cucurella joins and Zinchenko stay here or perhaps we need to see what happens with Zinchenko if he leaves then we have the spot and the money.

Gus had a good insight about the wider game and working in the media.

I felt his written English was superb, but perhaps some things he got lost in translation, and there were some who seemed to enjoy getting the rise out of him.

I've taken breaks from this place in years gone by when this forum could get to you, and would hope he reconsiders at some point in the future.

A lot of the senior citizens on here found his breadth of knowledge a little intimidating. He wasn’t very good at understanding irony, though, which led to him to lash out unnecessarily sometimes.

But compared to some of the dross we’ve had on here recently, he was a shining light. I’ll miss the old curmudgeon.

Given the legalities it could be that he can’t say we also need a replacement for Mendy.

Yeah, could be. From everything I've read, looks like we want him to stay and have offered him a deal but he's considering leaving for more games.
