At this stage the club should know who wants to leave but all of that will be kept under wraps until the season is over.

We know we’re in for Haaland, River Plate say Alvarez is coming this summer and Fernandinho is leaving so we’re a midfielder short. We know Mendy isn’t coming back.

We don’t know which of Jesus, Sterling, Mahrez, Bernardo, Laporte, Gundogan or Zinchenko may want to leave. The club will try to keep any departures quiet until after the Villa match.

Personally I think Jesus and Sterling will be off. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Zinchenko and Laporte go. Hopefully Bernardo more than anyone stays, I could see Gundogan and Mahrez seeing our their final year.

Interesting that the article on De Jong by Hirst and Pol Ballus mentions that we want a striker, midfielder and Alvarez as the third player with no mention of a left-back, but maybe that's because we don't have a specific target there yet?

With Alvarez done, if Haaland doesn’t materialise, would we concentrate on the full backs? Feels like we need to be sorting both those very soon.

Rodri has been superb this season and his mobility and fitness have improved from that first season no end.

Or we just don't believe in left backs and think like unicorns we've heard stories but don't believe in them.

The squad needs 3 players before we even sell anyone who’d need to be replaced. Surely more than 3 in.
