Seeing as Rodri will play the majority of games, it probably helps that De Jong is more versatile than just being a DM.More like a Rodri/KDB.

If FDJ is a target for us, I wonder if Barca would be interested in signing Sterling as part of a deal ?
I know that tolmie would be in favour of that deal, and suggested that Barca were interested in taking Sterling in January , albeit on loan .
If he isn't going to sign a new contract, it would at least allow us to get his wages off the books and some kind of transfer fee in adjustment.
