Hold on a second, I didn't say it was the only game he has had. Yes he's played well and been an able deputy but in big games he has also let us down at times due to not being a left back by trade (CL final).
In those 5 years hes played 8, 14, 19, 20 and 15 games in each league season despite pretty much always being fit and these include substitute appearances. He is a back-up and always has been, that's the fact of the matter. The reason we talk about left backs every single year is because we need a first choice and he ain't it - he only plays if someone else is injured, that's what an able deputy is....
Great servant, great attitude, great lad but "key" player - to quote you - "fucking lol".
The irony is, you are using the same selectiveness that you say others are. Clearly you don't, and don't want to rate zinchenko. You say people are misguided for clinging onto the villa assist as one moment to argue his quality, while you cling onto a moment in the CL final yourself. Which btw many have argued wasn't his to lose us.
He has been phenomenal in some big games. Liverpool, chelsea, utd, a whole range in fact. And some he has been poor in, sure, in moments. So have plenty of our players.
How many of those 20, or 14, or however many in a run he played in, did we win? id say 95% of the games he has played, and we looked so good with him. That is being a kep player, if we go on a run of 12 wins he is in, that is a jey contribution to that title.
I didn't argue he is a starter for every game, nor will be. If a better or even more conventional left back comes in, he will remain a player that can and will step.in when needed, for as long as needed. But he had already done a long haul, so to argue he isn't a long haul player, after 5 years, is just absurd.
