Can someone give me the logic behind getting rid of a hugely technical plug-and-play player in Zinchenko and keeping Ake..? Because I'm struggling to see it.

It's very obvious what he meant though, no? And if he isn't talking about Neymar, he went out of his way to make sure we all thought he was, which is effectively the very same thing.

He got Haaland right when it seemed impossible. Everyone had that guy at Madrid all the way. He gives info in good faith, he's not in control of transfers.

He also said Pep has signed an extension and an announcement was imminent… over 2 months ago

I know we are getting Cucurella or trying to, but there’s something about Raum that makes me think he’s going to be a world class player in his position. Raums tenacity sets him apart from a lot of full backs, celebrates every tackle like it’s a goal. Reminds me a lot of Lahm. There was a few comparisons made in the Bundesliga last season to Lahm with his attitude and ability.

Arsenal were prepared to pay what we wanted for Zinchenko. Chelsea were not prepared to pay what we wanted for Ake. That’s it.

Almost everyone thought we were going to sign Haaland and Mbappe would go to Madrid, the way I remember it.
