It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

I don't know who it is either!!

Told only we still have serious money to spend and while FDJ is wanted by Pep, it is complicated and we have a bigger iron in the fire that would piss even more people off.

Bayern are a bit short of cash. Maybe it is Kimmich. Would not mind that move. We can box off RB and the 6 positions. Two-for-one, so to speak.

Might be so, also remember how much walker has angered Pep this year on the pitch and I’m guessing some headlines over the last few years having not gone down well with the ownership either - James could be a resolution to these challenges maybe.
So, Reece is the piss-taking deal and FDJ is the swap deal.

Both feel like hard deals to pull of, we’re in for two transfer sagas folks!

They're Americans mate. They're ultimately in it for the money & would see James as a potential £60m return on their £4bn investment.
Todd Boehly part owns the Dodgers and the Lakers and they are two of the most successful teams in american sports. Both have the absolute highest wage bills and spend the most on players, so im not sure he's going to come into Chelsea and suddenly sell their best players.

Also, there is no long term business plan in just selling your best players if its money he's trying to make. Sell your best players, drop out of the CL and lose a not only a shit load of cash, but also value on the club.

Admittedly, I know little of Boehly, so will gladly bow to your knowledge of him. He's heading up the consortium, but that consortium apparently includes venture capitalists who are in it for a return on their investment.

Chelsea owe Abramovich £1.5bn & to compete they need to spend on players. How do they intend to make a profit to suit the investors? Unless they're in it for the status alone?

Improving our 1st 11 is a hard task, getting happy squad players is the same
We need
1) A better LB than Cancelo who I don't rate at RB
Davies Bayern that standard or don't bother
2) A box to box who can fill in for Rodri
FDJ for me
Give the U23's a go filling in
3) I suspect Laporte will run down his contract and John is injury prone so CB is a worry
Also RB back up for Kyle maybe Egan Riley

Happy to use all the contract issue players to pay for this

How can they get away with underhand racist comments like this. So russian and Arab money is bad and European and American money is fine. It's actually unbelievable but it is such a commonly held view! Surely all billionaire's are in the same bracket regardless of where they are from!?
Where did he say American money? Fairly sure if teams in the MLS were capable of buying his stars he'd belly ache about that also.

The other part, I agree with you.
