It’s a ridiculous position to find ourselves in - absolutely scandalous in fact when you consider the resources of the club. Serious questions have to be asked.

When you replace Fernandinho and Zinchenko with Kalvin Phillips and Sergio Gomez, it’s never going to end well.

Unless a Left Back is coming in here this move weakens us greatly, in a position we are already short in. I get Cancelo may be pissing into the dressing room and they want him out, but to a possible CL rival and without a replacement coming in? If thats the case it seems a tad foolish

All the same Cancelo had a fairly traumatic break in last year, no one really knows how that would have affected him.

So our left back options are Ake, Laporte and Gomez in case of emergency. Crikey
