Might well accelerate him leaving Barca if it's true!

You don’t know if we are going to have to overpay or not. Firstly you don’t know how much he’ll be, secondly you don’t know what value the club have put on him.

I do wonder if it’s closer than we think though having regulations regarding a quota on how many English players you need to have or how many overseas players you can have?
 
If phillips fee is 50m or more I can see us backing out.

Wouldn't mind zinny playing there next to say Bernie in a midfield 2. Would give Zinny more minutes too with Cucurella going LB.
 
Apparently Newcastle enquired about Ake in January and could come back in for him! Only way he goes is he says he wants more game time don’t think he be happy with the same amount of game time next season as this season just gone.

Yes what a completely bizarre thought. In a team that has midfielders playing false 9, rbs playing lb, midfielders playing lb, cb playing lb or rb - who could possibly use a versatile midfielder who could play multiple roles within the midfield under the best coach itw and someone who only started full time footballing a few years ago. Very weird. Could be used to back up Rodri (which is the only thing City need) or giving the other midfielders a rest when needed throughout a 60 match season.

yes or they could stick haaland there.
