Very disappointing if we let Jesus go. We have such a small squad even with Haaland and Alvarez added. He brings so much to the team too, the work rate and chasing down. Be gutted to see him doing that for Arsenal, especially against us.
It's disappointing, but you can't keep every player happy.
As a striker, he's now behind Haaland and potentially Alvarez if he hits the ground running.
On the wing, he's contending with Sterling, Mahrez, Grealish and Foden - not even considering Palmer who looks like he has a future with the first team.
He's lost his spot in the Brazilian national team which you know would have really impacted a passionate bloke like Gabby.
Whilst we have a 'small squad' that doesn't really apply to our forward options anymore with Haaland and Alvarez incoming.
Arsenal are probably offering Gabby a starting role as a striker, playing under a manager he knows well and whilst they've underperformed of late, they're still a very high profile club that can get his international career back on track.
For our benefit, he's also one of three forwards with 1 year left on his contract and we have a chance of still getting £40m+ for Gabby which will be a great return on investment.
Sometimes it isn't all about us and we have to do what's right for the player, assuming Arsenal (or whoever else) meet our terms.
