It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

I'd be surprised if he's paid materially more than he is paid here.

He'll start a few more games but won't contend for trophies any longer.

As for family, well, his close family live near him and other family just a few hours away.

It's a short career and I think trading trophies for a few more starts is moronic. But that's just my view.

Chelsea have won trophies consistently for longer than City. They beat us in the CL final just over a year ago. Yes they've dipped in the league but they're rebuilding and have some great players.

Football goes in cycles. When Pep leaves City will regress. Don't get too comfortable on that high horse.

Why will we regress ?

City prepared to offer Bernie, Sterling's wages, should he commit to a new five-year agreement :)

Well hopefully Bernie realizes the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

Propaganda:
Barca have history of being a big club that no one can turn down

Reality:
They have to sell weddings on their field, ask players to take paycuts, are lying about transfer targets to keep fans on board, selling large chunks of internal operations to investors, etc just to stay afloat.

Some take it way to seriously on here and sit on 24/7. Enjoy the summer, check the City news and chill out. City are phenomenally well run and what they decide is all good.

We’ve signed Haaland! Whatever realistically happens now it’s been a great window. We support a team that has won the title 4 of the last 5 years. A few need reminding to appreciate the greatness we’re witnessing.

That said it is a tad frustrating when some say it’s a “done deal” when it clearly isn’t : )

I agree with what you’re saying re life after Pep, but Chelsea won’t challenge for the 2 major trophies next season. Just my prediction.

I agree. As of now they are way behind us and the dippers. They've lost Rudiger who was their best player by a country mile. Christensen, Azpelicueta, Jorghino, Werner future all in doubt, Lukaku gone.
They need a serious rebuild, It will be a couple of seasons before they start to compete again and that's only if they are successful in the transfer market, It's all well and good spending money, Spending it right is the hard part.

Scouse mouthpieces are getting noisy about Bellingham. There’s a clamour to sign a central midfielder. Liverpool have so far been briefing their business is done, but fans are fewwwwwming (la) that they aren’t picking up a CM.

At current count, including the sales of Sterling and Jesus (not counting purchase of Cucurella), we have around £150m burning a hole in our pockets.

I reckon if scouse move on Jude this summer, we’ll move too.
