Half of the refreshment is letting players go. It is time for Sterling to leave but not just himI think its clear we need a right back to play when Walker aint available......Canello is decent but he is actually better on the left hand side and movig him over to the right when walker cant play unsettles the balance of the team and it makes cancello less effective going forward
Walker is 32...he is going to start picking up injuries and when a player like walker who is built for pace starts to get older one or two injuries can finish them off quite quickly.....
A right back is essential along with a forward
the other position is a DM....Ferna is finished and is leaving...Rdori cant play every match and we know that Gundo can only play part of the role of the 6...he is shocking at the defensive side of things from there
Haaland plus a right back and a DM
Correct. Our recruitment fucking stinksOur recruitment needs to be better.
The other team have been brilliant unfortunately. jota and diaz hit the ground running.
we spunk £100m on a position we didn't need and need to wait a year to see if he's any good.
My fear is we go all in on Haaland and neglect other areas of the team again.
We need a top player to replace Fern. We need to replace Sane/Torres and a left back.
Need another 17/18 Window. Last summer was a MASSIVE failureOur recruitment needs to be better.

The thing our recruitment needs is to stop being afraid of doing things in January when it’s OBVIOUS they are needed. Liverpool brought one player in January that single-handedly might win them the quadruple. Our recruitment needs to be better.

Yes we do need to let a few go...who is arguable but there are some who do need to go....Half of the refreshment is letting players go. It is time for Sterling to leave but not just him
ID stick with cancello at left back as i actually think he plays better there than his "natural postion" ...for me its cover and eventual replacement for walker that we needOur recruitment needs to be better.

Thing is (and I agree with you) dont Dortmund have a pattern of only selling one of their big players every transfer window....last season Sancho, this season Haaland - I cannt see them letting both go in one window...guess it also depends on where Bellingham is in his contract but id guess not that close that he could force the issueHave to say, and I’m probably in the minority on this, but I am not a fan of leaving another hole in the squad because we’re potentially waiting a season for Bellingham. Can we for once have a season where all the needs in the squad are met and we don’t have to meet here again to discuss more failures in recruitment? It may sound like short-term panic but I see many other options that give us as much as he would. Anyway, my two cents
Been saying this for a long time that we also need a proper winger in this team, specially to that left side, not use midfielders there. From an outsider perspective you need a top class LB, CM and Striker. I think you also need to add pace to the team with someone who is very direct.
