That’s what I was thinking too but sure as night follows day he will have a twist on it lol
Changing formations or not, 100-120m for a player that isn’t star value nor a starter is maddening and rag level of investment. I think city distanced themselves from both Rice and FDJGetting the impression we will not be playing the same formation next year.
In fact I think we will all be scratching g our head and wondering what is going on (in a good way) for the first few games, so think g in this seasons in terms of position could be a little wide of the mark.

Kalvin Phillips makes a ton of sense if we go back to 4-2-3-1. Rodri and Phillips are not just good at winning possession both Philips and Rodri have brilliant passing abilities , Rodri and Phillips supplying KDB in The 10 position would be devastating for opposition.

Rodri and Fernandinho have probably played less than 5 games together in midfield.
We played it v Chelsea but with Bernardo as that other pivot with Rodri. Highly doubt Pep will want two defensive players in a pivot ever tho.When did we play that formation under Pep?
