Correct Sterling does the total opposite imo he slows it down if anything, very rarely he attacks the goaline maybe a few occasions but so many times I've shouted at the TV espeacialy away from home when he just stops & cuts it back when the play has been moved quickly
Sorry just realised you are agreeing with what I said, I was trying to read my phone in the Sun and was struggling a bit, should get my specs on, :)I think you've misunderstood me, Sterling doesn't like to get in a foot race, he slows things down to allow himself to use that explosive couple of yards to get himself away from a defender, basically starting from a dead start, he's what I would call a nippy winger, but not a real speed merchant in the way of walker, for example
If you lined him up in a 50 yard dash with Walker, he would be in front up to 5/10 yards, then Walker who has genuine sprinters pace takes him
His cutting back is due to the inverted wingers he needs to come back inside on his favoured right foot
The Villa game where he crossed from the right for Gundys goal was what Raz wants a couple of yards a cross a goal
He isn't really the type of player for an inverted winger role, there are better options in the squad, Grealish, Foden, Bernado etc
That is probably why they have spent the money on Nunez,I have to agree. I'm just speculating but I think if Klopp wanted Salah tied down long-term, it would be done. I get that FSG is the captain and not Klopp but I don't think they'd spend 85M on Nunez if they were unable to pay Salah his demands.
Gonna have to disagree with this, it easily took 6 months, maybe a little longer for DS to adapt to the premier league. For the record, he is the very best player I ever saw in a City shirt and I saw Colin Bell. El Magio just the very best.Try progressive passes and progressive runs per minutes played. Understat are quite limited.
Grealish is also playing in a new system and needs time to adapt at City pretty much like every player not called David Silva who took about 15 minutes!
Do what now?THEY
If Ake goes to Chelsea I’d imagine we’d want another left footer and I would be surprised if we didn’t activate Pau Torres’ release clause.I'd be tempted to sell at that price, especially with the likes of Kounde and De Ligt on the market.

What’s his release clause? If Ake goes to Chelsea I’d imagine we’d want another left footer and I would be surprised if we didn’t activate Pau Torres’ release clause.
Everyone is until they realise Brentford might bid for them.Wasn’t he United Bound?
Regarding Ake a left footed centre back home grown, a team desperate for a centre back is be telling Chelsea if they come calling it 75m
Aké would surely swap being 4th choice here with starting for Chelsea?
Exactly this …I appreciate what you are saying, but I have always maintained Sterling's pace is something of a myth.
In the first two yards, if he stands you up, then it's bye bye...
His advantage is mainly down to his clever runs without the ball.
However, if you are talking pace on the run over a number of yards, he can be caught by a few.
I'd imagine Haaland's true pace, certainly against any high line daft enough to try, will also create space for the lads on the outside.
If we lose Gabby and Sterling, we are a player light IMHO
Palmer, mahrez and Grealish are similar players and now the only real options out wide.
If its not Felix ( and I wouldn't be too bothered about it not being him).....then who?
Alvarez is a complete unknown as far as the prem league goes and he seems more of a central attacker who drops deep.
Maybe we rely more on our full backs esp if we get Cucurella as him Cancello are good from wide positions and walker although not great is certainly working on that part of his game.
It’s the calves, hair combo that does it for me.
Who'd have thought anyone could have bigger calves than Grealish?![]()
Not my thing but what ever floats your boat…..
I think that's the carrot dangled at this stage, mate.
Former player, club trained, affordable package...
Nathan might be entitled to at least think.
foden suffers from the same issueExactly this …
Amount of times he went clear through on goal only to be caught by the Cb , he is not rapid.

It’s a none brainer for him really but we should be asking top whack fee if he is tempted
