Cole Palmer has the skills and determination to succeed and he is nerveless. I don’t doubt him for a second and Pep thinks he is ready.

Sterling is about to leave the club and there are reports that Mahrez will share time with Palmer on the right wing as his replacement.

Instead of looking forward to one of our own stepping up it seems we now want Pep to sign a new player instead!? He can’t win!

We can‘t have it both ways. I accept Palmer might be the only one (maybe McAtee) and that we will have to replace anyone else that leaves after Sterling but I want to hear from the Academy supporters on this…is this not what we have wanted for years?

It more the skillset to replace. Palmer and Mahrez are almost identical in play style on that side. Out of the 4 wingers left, only Jack is right footed and he only plays on the left. Even the kids in the EDS left are all inverted wingers

We could wait a long time for a player from the Academy to have the same skill set as a departing player. He can play right wing and he’s really good. If not Cole who has a better chance than him in our Academy?

Right now, nobody. That’s the point. If you lose Sterling, do you replace him or do you wait for Borges etc. to be ready?

If you want us to compete in all competitions, we probably do need to replace Sterling.
 
Bit gutted Jesus has left .Think the time is right for Sterling to leave , been great for us but let’s get a decent fee and replace . As for strengthening our rivals, it also helps for Arsenal & Chelsea to take points of our real rivals Lpool ??

No one, thats not the complaint. We have no right sided, right footed wingers in the squad, its an option lost. We'll have to adjust and we will but i can those that want that option replaced be it a rookie or a signing etc.

I agree, Bernardo has 3 years left on his contract, that he willingly signed.
If anyone wants him then they have to pay the going rate.

The lad is one the best midfielders in the World and plays vital roles for club and country and has won loads of trophies.

You talk about Rice but we and the rags paid for Grealish (£100m) and Sancho (£75m), if they are worth that amount, then Bernie is worth £100m minimum!

We are not a charity, so clubs either pay up or fuck off trying to unsettle our player!
 
Why do I get the feeling Chelsea move left, right and center with their transfer business? It’s been reported for weeks that Sterling will move to Chelsea, but still no deal, don’t know what’s taking so long. Are they even serious about their interest?

Chelsea then tried to hijack the Raphina transfer. Dembele is on their radar. And now fkn Ronaldo?

I want Cucurella as soon as possible. For that to happen it seems we need to get Sterling out first. I hope it is coming.

If Richarlison can go for 60m and Grealish for 100m, then the offers for Bernardo should start at 80m plus... and that's with an £!

Ironically Sterlings been the one that seems they’ve been most keen on making sure gets done. There’s never been a report it’s fallen through or hit a snag. Seems like a matter of days now.

I think its more to do with reports of sterling wanting more money than he's currently on...if rumours are to be believed.

Not sure why it hasn't been announced yet but the Sterling deal was reported as done quite a while ago now.
