We need to replace with at least the same quality if he leaves, I imagine the 3 top CB's is enough lot will feel a little different if we pick up a couple of injuries, and are shoehorning midfielder's into CB for big games.

Can't work.out if uour wording is accidental or deliberate, but none would be 'spare', 3 for 2 positions is unmanageable for a season of circa 60 games, no matter how good they are.
